Judge Sarah Evans Barker
2006 RECIPIENT OF THE MALOLEY AWARD

This year's Nancy A. Maloley Outstanding Public Servant Award was presented to Judge Sarah Evans Barker, District Court Judge for the Southern District of Indiana since 1984. A native of Mishawaka, Indiana, Judge Barker graduated from Indiana University in 1965 and the American University School of Law in 1969. She was an associate and partner with the Indianapolis law firm of Bose, McKinney & Evans from 1977 until 1981. Judge Barker served as United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana from 1981 until her judicial appointment in 1984.
